About Inspired Home Cooking

Inspired Home Cooking began as a way to discuss the benefits of home cooking with real whole foods. Purposely, buying whole food ingredients to create home cooked meals. And home cooked meals being the primary meals eaten, with occasional dining at good restaurants. With fast foods and processed foods completely out, home cooking is the priority. Home cooking should be a priority in our life, which is the main principle of Inspired Home Cooking.

Benefiting from a budget has, also, become a priority. Which is why I am currently on a $30 a week budget for the year, to learn and set an example that a sound food budget can help, not hinder people on limited incomes. Setting a sound budget can be a very rewarding and powerful thing to do for ourselves. I, also, feel it is needed by many people.

The book, Inspired Home Cooking is a very sound, simple tool for cooking, budgeting and organizing for those just starting to cook for themselves. Also, it proves to be a great go-to for reminding more experienced cooks of ways of doing things that can be beneficial in making home cooking a priority.

Home economics cooking is coming back around. Advise on simple cooking, budgeting and shopping can literally turn one's life around in the ways of the kitchen. Home cooking is not a spectator sport. Reconnecting with our kitchens, and changing our habits makes for a better quality of life through home cooking. Something we can all do together.

Here's to many happy homemade meals!
